Howard Park House

Howard Park House

My Husband D and I renovated the Howard Park house for ourselves in anticipation of the birth of our son Sam. The house was  perfect, save only it hadn’t been updated…ever. The kitchen had a 1950’s Acme range, an almost equally antique fridge, and no running water. It was love at first sight. While gutting the house we kept the envelope in tact (except a third floor dormer) opened the first and  second floors, and took the loft like setting of the third floor as the master. While there was something sad about loosing the old world charm of the exuberant floral wall papers and the patina of a hundred years of use, it was a house in desperate need of an invitation to the 21st century. We loved this house and still do.
